A little about myself (I'll spare you the 3rd-person narrative):
A native Oregonian, I've traveled around the globe more than once. Highlights: • studied in France for a year • spent 6 months in Bosnia after the war • froze my tail in Poland for a winter • lived in multi-cultural meccas Toronto and NYC • traveled along the Trans Siberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing. For the past decade, I've been a newspaper photojournalist. The final 7 years were spent working for The Oregonian. Some of my sports photography received industry street cred by placing at Pictures of the Year International (POYi): Best Sports Portfolio (2005 & 2006); Best Sports Action (2007). Of course my mom is most proud of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Reporting, which I won with a team of staffers from The Oregonian for coverage of a missing family in southern Oregon. My work has appeared in National Geographic, ESPN the Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone, People, Newsweek, TIME and The New York Times among others. Commercial clients include Oregon's own Nike, eBay and ACE Hardware (The Helpful Place!). On top of that, I'm also busy photographing fun people and fun weddings.
